September In Tahoe

There are so many things that us Tahoe folk avoid during the crazy tourist season until this time of year. September is what it's all about. I love the days that are spent at the lake, at the local restaurants and on the trails with hardly anyone else around. You would have to pay me A LOT of money to go somewhere like Emerald Bay or the Rainbow Trail during the summer but this is the time of year to take full advantage of where we live. On Josh's birthday we took a little stroll out to the Taylor Creek Visitor Center and pretty much had the place to ourselves. We even got to see the first few Kokanee Salmon show up.

Aren't fish neat? Aubrey sure thinks so.

She thinks trees are pretty neat too. She had to touch every single one within her reach. She decided the backpack is definitely better than the stroller.
