Road Trip Pics- Chapter One

We're baaaaack. The vacation was awesome and we got to visit some beautiful places. Day one involved driving to Salt Lake City (about 9 hours) where we stayed with my friend Kelly for the night. Day two involved another 7 hour car ride to Josh's family cabin which is just outside Twin Lakes, CO. Once we got to the cabin and met up with Josh's parents we had to snowshoe in just about 1/8 mile because the driveway/ road was closed due to snow. The cabin sits right above a stream and waterfall with views of trees and mountains everywhere. No other houses, no cell phones, no t.v.- it was VERY refreshing to be away from all our modern gadgets for a few days. We even had a problem with the running water so the boys had to collect water from the stream for the toilets and we boiled snow to wash dishes- just made it a little more adventurous :) Grandma and Grandpa Iveland... Aubrey wanted me to tell you that she misses you already! Here's some pics from the first part of our trip. Moab/Chapter 2 should be up tomorrow.
